WWC Committees
Directory – Help create and distribute out member directory and WWC classified reference booklet.
Fashion Show – This event is our big kick-off in September, but the planning begins months ahead of time! Each year WWC works to bring our members the most exciting show yet while raising money to benefit Interact. The committee plans the event and secures sponsors and donations for the raffle.
Friends of the Community – Members of this committee give back to the community in various ways, i.e. tutoring at the local elementary school. This committee would decide on projects to pursue and let the membership know of these opportunities.
Historian – Help us hold onto our memories! We’re looking for a few ladies to take photos and keep a scrapbook of our luncheons and special events. Digital or traditional.
Holiday Gala – The name speaks for itself! This committee starts to plan at the end of the summer for our formal social event in December. Let your holiday spirit shine as you help with organizing the party from the invitations to the decorations to the food to the band.
Hospitality – If you love making others feel welcome at a luncheon or other event, this is the place for you. This group serves as greeters and hostesses for our luncheons and other events.
Luncheon Reservations – Assists our treasurer in record keeping for our luncheons.
New Members Coffees – We are looking for members who enjoy planning, hosting and preparing food for these morning or evening semi-monthly events. Be a part of setting the stage to welcome our new members and sharing with them all that WWC has to offer.
Newsletter Committee – These committee members work with our newsletter editor and assist in getting our newsletter ready for the post office. A great way to share coffee and friendly conversation while helping the club keep all our members up-to-date.
On-Call Volunteer – This may be the perfect place for you if your schedule is flexible or you like to try new things. Sometimes you just need someone to call and ask for a little help.
Social/Party Planners – For all of you who love to entertain, this is the place for you! This committee would plan social events (other than the Holiday Gala) for our members, i.e., Summer Pig Pickin’.
Tours and Special Activities – This group organizes unusual and fun tours to local points of interest, museums, special shows etc. It’s a great way to get to know our area and have fun with friends while doing it.
