WELCOME TO THE WAKEFIELD WOMEN’S CLUB
The Wakefield Women’s Club was founded in 2001 as a social organization for women in Wakefield. Interest in our organization was high and eventually membership was opened to women in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, and surrounding areas. We meet every month, September through May, at TPC at Wakefield Plantation, for lunch with a program featuring local speakers on a variety of topics. Our members participate in a number of activities, special events, and groups. Some of our activities are Bunco, Bridge, Canasta, Hand & Foot, Couples dinner group, Sip and Share (a wine group) and Mah Jongg to name just a few. Please explore our current complete listing of activities under the Activities section. Highlights of the year also include a Fall Fashion Show, Holiday Gala, and Spring Fling.
While the WWC is not a service club, we have been pleased to support a number of community organizations such as Interact Women’s Shelter of Raleigh. The shelter serves as a haven for women of domestic abuse. We also support the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry in Wake Forest and the Triangle affiliate of Dress for Success. The goal of Dress for Success is to promote economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire.
Please explore our website and feel free to call or email with questions. Make a reservation and join us at a luncheon. We would be delighted to meet you! Many friendships have been made through the Wakefield Women’s Club. We are a diverse group with women of all ages and a wide variety of interests.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
